Report cards have been distributed for the 2nd grading period. Attached to the report card, you will find a list of teachers' emails along with the school's performance repot. If you would like to schedule a conference with your child's teacher, please email the individual teacher. In addition, at-risk failure letters will be mailed this week.
Free Covid Testing and Vaccination Events
Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year in the art areas of creative writing, dance, instrumental music, theatre, visual arts, and vocal music. Students who are entering grades 7-12 and are zoned for a St. Landry Parish school are eligible to apply.

TALENT EDUCATION
If you suspect your child of having Talented characteristics in MUSIC, THEATRE AND/OR VISUAL ART contact your child’s school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.

Bus 588 will not run this afternoon, tomorrow and Wednesday. You may pick your child up from MACA at dismissal or at Beau Chene once they bus arrives there. If you wish to drop them off to Beau Chene tomorrow and Wednesday, they must arrive there by 7am to catch Bus 565 to MACA.

We have just been informed that Northwest is experiencing a power outage and will therefore dismiss early. MACA students who ride the bus to Northwest will be dismissed at 12:10 pm today. If you prefer to pick up your child from MACA at regular dismissal time (2:33 pm) please call the school as soon as possible to inform us.
