The St. Landry Parish School Board will host CAMP ACCELERATE for all students in grades K - 8!
CAMP ACCELERATE will provide students an opportunity to continue their academic learning in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science while also engaging them in enrichment activities.
The enrichment opportunities will enable students to take virtual field trips, learn more about science and technology, engage in social living projects, play sports, and develop an appreciation for art, theater, music, and more.
Students will attend CAMP ACCELERATE from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday beginning June 6th and continuing through June 30th. New this Year ! We are exploring the possibility of offering field trips to students on select Fridays.
Students will be offered transportation to and from the program, and lunch will be provided.
Parents of students in grades K to 8 who are interested in registering their children for the program should complete the registration form below. Please complete one form per child.

7th & 8th grade MACA parents/guardians,
On Friday, March 25, all students will be sent home with a LEAP Prep application. Please return the appliation no later than Wednesday, March 30 if you would like your child to attend. LEAP testing begins on April 26 and ends on May 6.

REMINDER:

CLARIFICATION:
MACA will be open on Friday, March 11. Only students who ride a North Central bus (with no other transportation) will be excused from school on Friday due to North Centralâs closure.

Reminder MACA Family
Please note that on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, only the juniors and seniors who are participating in the online administration for ACT will report to campus in-person. All other high school students enrolled at MACA will receive asynchronous learning via their Google Classrooms, where assignments will be posted. Please note that teachers will not provide live instruction on this day. All students will return to school for in-person instruction beginning Wednesday, March 9, 2022. Please note, 7th and 8th grade students will report as usual.

A MESSAGE FROM SLPSB: At the St. Landry Parish School Board Meeting last night, the Board voted to make mask wearing optional at schools, district facilities, and on the school bus. This Board action is effective immediately.
