This week is National School Counseling Week! MACA is grateful for everything that our school counselor, Mrs. Doucet, does for our students and staff. We appreciate the caring, encouragement, and community that she provides each and every day!
Bus 565, Cassandra Sam Northwest, will not be running this afternoon.
In addition, Chrystal Hildalgo bus #571 will take Bus 45,students from Port Barre to Krotz Springs for the parent pick up today.

Come out and donate blood at MACA's blood drive from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 1, 2024. Not only will you help stock the shelves, but you will also help one MACA Senior receive the LifeScholars scholarship. Donations may be made in any senior's name whether you donate at school or at another LifeShare blood drive and/or blood center. MACA's annual talent show will be held this Thursday, January 25 at 6:00 in MACA's gym. Admission is $3.00 for each guest.

Good morning, due to low water pressure issues, the following schools will be closed today : Plaisance Middle, Opelousas High/Biomed, Opelousas Jr. High, Opelouas Middle, Creswell Middle, Northeast Elem, Grolee Elem, Park Vista elem, MACA, SLATS, CAPS (Opelouas Alternative School). All 12 month employees , facilitators and Assistant Principals are to report to work. Thanks for your understanding as we work with local agencies to resolve these concerns.

With icy roads and freezing temperatures expected throughout the days ahead, we have made the decision to cancel classes, sporting activities, and practices to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff.
