🎉 Mentor/Mentee Kickoff Event Recap 🎉 On Tuesday, we had an amazing Mentor/Mentee Kickoff Event where all 9th grade students found out who their 11th/12th grade mentors would be for the school year! 🎓💬 Our mentor/mentee pairs spent the day getting to know each other through conversation, cooperative games, and creating a special "Class of 2028 Commitment to Graduate Mural." Each 9th grader left their handprint and name on the mural, symbolizing their promise to make the most of their freshman year. With their mentors by their side, they're ready to succeed! 🙌 The event included fun activities like the "Get To Know Me" questionnaire, balancing relay races, and energetic games of Heads-Up! 📝🏃‍♀️🎉 We're so excited to see these connections grow throughout the year! #MentorshipMatters #CommitmentToGraduate #ClassOf2028

The 1st place winner is door #2, Mrs Wilson’s Junior High Science Class.🥇 In a close 2nd place was door #9, Mrs Becnel’s High School Art Class.🥈

Our JAG students, along with others from across the parish, had an amazing day visiting Opelousas General Hospital, where they explored various career fields through insightful presentations. After a fun lunch break, the day wrapped up with inspiring talks from instructors at SoLaCC's Opelousas location, where students learned about the wide range of courses and opportunities available to them after high school.
