A MESSAGE FROM SLPSB: At the St. Landry Parish School Board Meeting last night, the Board voted to make mask wearing optional at schools, district facilities, and on the school bus. This Board action is effective immediately.
East Elementary’s Spring fundraiser is under way featuring cookie dough and other great products. Here are just a few. Please help make it a success by ordering with one of our students or coming by the school office. All orders and payment are due Friday March 4. Thank you for always supporting our school.
MACA will continue to accept applications into March. Students entering 7th-12th grade in the 2022-2023 school year and interested in creative writing, theatre, dance, band, chorus, or art are eligible to apply. East Elementary will host Parent Night for Kindergarten and 1st grade tonight from 5pm-6:30pm. Teachers will inform parents of lessons being taught this semester as well as distribute progress reports. We look forward to seeing our parents tonight.

East Elementary: Progress reports for the 3rd quarter will be distributed at Parent Night. Kindergarten and 1st grade parents attend Tuesday, Feb 15. 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade parents attend Wednesday, Feb. 16. 5pm-6:30pm each day. Thanks for your cooperation.
MACA IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2022-2023 SCHOOL YEAR - Magnet Academy for Cultural Arts is accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year in the art areas of creative writing, dance, instrumental music, theatre, visual arts, and vocal music. East Elementary is selling chocolate covered pretzels for $1. Please help us raise needed funds for end of year activities. Thanks for your support.
East Elementary: After-school tutoring for today (Thursday, Feb 3rd) has been cancelled due to staffing.
East Elementary students will be taking class pictures on Friday February 11. The cost of an 8x10 picture is $15. Students are to dress in their usual school uniform. Pictures must be paid for in advance.
East Elementary: Beginning Monday, Jan 31st, there will be a schedule change for after school tutoring (Learning Beyond the Bell). Kindergarten - 2nd grade students will attend tutoring on Mondays and Wednesdays. 3rd and 4th grade students will attend tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (Student will no longer attend every day.) Thank you for your cooperation.
East Elementary reminders: Bus 283, Ms. Guillory, will run the rest of the week, Jan 27 & 28th. Pay to dress for students wishing to participate, Thursday, Jan 27th.
After further consultation with the Office of Emergency Preparedness and receiving the latest reports from the National Weather Service, all St. Landry Parish School Board schools, Head Start centers, and administrative offices will be closed tomorrow, January 21, 2022. Students will not have remote learning tomorrow.
