We are excited to welcome our students and staff back on campus next week. Students return to school on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. As we return on campus, here are a few updates and reminders for students and parents:
Please make sure that your child's address and parent phone numbers are updated so that you may receive all notifications.
SLPSB does not allow hoodies. Please make sure your child's uniform and outerwear are school appropriate and within district uniform policy.
If you can, please go through your child's backpack to clean and/or discard anything that they no longer need.

Bus L208 Patrick Hebert will not be picking up or dropping off on Thursday or Friday this week. Please make arrangements to pick up and drop off your child for these two days. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Learning Beyond the Bell tutoring program is CANCELLED tomorrow, December 21st!
Parents, please follow safety precautions to help us keep all students healthy. We are experiencing a large number of flu cases on campus. If your child is running fever, please keep him/her home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone. When children are running fever, they are contagious to their peers. A student must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of medicine in order to return to school. Please send a parent note or doctor's excuse if your child is ill. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Mr. Oglesbyâs Beyond the Bell students conduct an experiment with Coke and Mentos.
Schools will be closed Monday, November 20th - Friday, November 24th, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving break!
CMS: 11/17/23 bus L208 Patrick Hebert will NOT pick up or drop off on Friday, November 17th. Please make arrangements to pick up and drop off your child to school. Sorry for the inconvenience.
CMS 11/16/23 Bus 576 Danell Lawyer will not pick up from school today (Thursday) or Friday afternoon. She WILL be running in the morning (Friday). Please make arrangements to pick up your child Thursday and Friday. Sorry for the inconvenience.
In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, the St. Landry Parish School Board administrative offices and all schools will close at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, and will remain closed for the rest of the week. We wish you all a safe and joyful Thanksgiving holiday.
Update 11/15/23 Mrs. Danell Lawyer's bus has been repaired. She will be picking up this afternoon. Thanks
CMS 11/15/23: Bus 576 Danell Lawyer's bus will not be running this morning due to mechanical problems. She will drive this afternoon possibly on a different bus. Please make arrangements to drop off your child who rides this bus this morning. Students will be excused if they are late to school. Please sign them in in the front office if they are late. Sorry for the inconvenience.
